I really want to finish Sticky Evil-- the question is, on whose terms to finish it?
At the moment the trouble is I'm not really dealing with the same characters I started with... Myles has changed the most (as the main character that's really his right. It is expected of the main character, but not like this) -- he's not the same character he was when the story started, but not in a good way. Noirael, too, keeps flip flopping between meekness and strength in a way I haven't properly developed. Many designs have changed -- Duo especially-- some ages have be altered (Cliff and Clyde, specifically.) a d a few characters didn't make the mental cut (Lex and Ray are, most likely, still around... but not quite the same characters they were.)
So, here's the deal.
I want to start over.
It's the same general story, save the changes I have had to make. Cutting out stupid jokes and gags... I should never have attempted to make something funny in the first place. Aiming for funny always leads to drama (See: everything else I'm working on, All Your Fault in particular...)
BUT, I understand asking you to read through it all again, especially knowing what's going to happen already, is a bit of a task... so, it's up to you (IE, readers)
Should I start over?
Or just suck it up and finish my job?
